The FLC team specializes in working with individuals with trauma histories, substance abuse, relationship/boundaries issues, and family conflict. We treat survivors of abuse or domestic violence and other trauma, and offers services for juvenile sex offenders.

The scope of our competence and practice is wide, so if you have concerns about whether or not we are a good fit to work with you, give us a call or send us an email and we would love to discuss your case.

Do you accept insurance?

Due to concerns about limitations on services and privacy, Fault Line Counseling does not accept insurance, but can take Health Savings Account cards. We are also approved to work with clients who are receiving victim’s compensation in the 1st and 18th districts of Colorado, which includes Denver, Arapahoe, Douglas, Elbert, and Lincoln counties.

We understand that many people want to utilize their insurance benefits, so we are able to provide receipts with information you can use to seek reimbursement for out-of-network benefits. Please know that in the past we have been asked by insurance companies to disclose information related to progress notes and content of sessions -which is a primary reason we prefer not to work with insurance, as this information should be kept confidential.

Why is counseling so expensive?

If you have been looking for a therapist for a while, you are likely aware that it is a financial investment. There are many costs that go into running a therapy office and maintaining professional licensure . In addition, counseling is a field that requires regular professional development and continued education. Clinicians also work on your behalf outside of the allotted 50 minutes of therapy -whether that is related to documentation for your file, consulting with other professionals on your case, or treatment planning, your therapist does not clock off when your session ends.
