Ziggy

Ziggy is the newest member of the FLC team, having just come to us in December 2021. He is very young and only beginning to get to know is clients and feel comfortable in the therapy space. Ziggy is in the process of learning so much, so his time with clients is limited. He loves his crate, and takes breaks and naps in there are needed. He is looking forward to cultivating his skills as a furry cotherapist over the next couple years.

Jackson

Jackson joined the FLC family in September of 2019 after coming to his furever home from the Aurora Animal Shelter. Jack has worked very hard to overcome his trauma, and loves to snuggle up to his clients on the couch. Recently Jackson has struggled with the commute down to Denver, so he is taking some time off to work on managing his anxiety.

Max, retired.

Certified Therapy Dog

Max was the star of the FLC treatment team, a loyal German Shepherd who was rescued as a pup from the Dumb Friends League. Max had to work very hard to overcome issues related to his trauma, and was one of the sweetest boys you could ever meet! Max was a certified therapy dog through Professional Therapy Dogs of Colorado, whose work here on earth was finished in July of 2019. While clients and clinicians alike mourned his loss, those who knew and loved Max are still learning from him as he watches over us.

Nerby, retired.

Certified Therapy Dog, Retired.

Nerby, a Pembroke Welsh Corgi, was FLC’s original animal assistant. He was certified by Professional Therapy Dogs of Colorado in 2018, and retired in September of 2021. He particularly loved working with families and younger clients. Nerby may have only spent a few years as a ‘furry co therapist,’ but he spent a wonderful 14 years adventuring with his family and playing marathon games of fetch. He went home on November 26, 2021 and sorely missed by those who loved him.
